Miyajima

My sister came to see me and we went to Miyajima together. She came 20th December. I picked her up at the Hiroshima Station. Then, we came to Saijo. We went to Hiroshima University and we ate lunch at the school cafeteria.




After taking lunch, we went around Hiroshima University. My sister was impressed by the volume of greens in Hiroshima University. She said that she wanted to go such a university. After walking around Hiroshima University, we went to Yume-Town and bought confectioneries and juices. We talked a lot with eating confectioneries in my house. We drew pictures because I and my sister like drawing pictures.




In 21th December, we went to Miyajima. I had been to Miyajima for three times already (for a school trip, a orientation camp and an earth science practice), but my sister had never been to Miyajima. My sister was looking forward to going to Miyajima. It was the first time I guide Miyajima for someone.





My sister was excited with deer. But I thought that my sister had seen deer in Nara for her school trip...

First, we went to eat lunch and looked around on the way. We ate Anagomeshi. Anagomeshi was good, but I don't like that restaurant so I will never go there again...

After taking lunch, we went around Miyajima. We ate a lot of food. We ate Yudegaki, Agemomiji, Namagaki, Yuzumitsusoft, Yakigaki and so on. Then, we went to Hiroshima Station and went back to Aichi. We ate Kakimeshi for diner.









We spent a fun time!! I want to go to Miyajima again.

Planets:Uranus

I'll write an article about Uranus before I write about Miyajima! Do you know Uranus? I think it is the most minor planet in the solar system. Don't you think so?




Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun and the third largest planet. When you look Uranus, you may think that Uranus is a flat planet. I think it may be true. Uranus is a ice giant planet and its composition is similar to Neptune's. And they are also similar to Jupiter and Saturn in chemical composition. But, while Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune have features on own surfaces, Uranus looks like that it has no feature. But if you look infrared images, your thinking may be changed.

As you see, Uranus has its ring. I think many people don't know this fact. Its ring is the second finest ring in the solar system. And in above image, you can find some satellites. Uranus has 27 satellites. Among them, Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania and Oberon are famous and they are called "the five main satellites of Uranus." I like the five main satellites. They have own features and I write an research paper about them in English class. Maybe I'll write an article about the five main satellites of Uranus!

The strangest feature of Uranus is the slope of rotating shaft. It slopes about 97 degrees. It is thought that the reason of the slope of rotating shaft is collide of a object collided with Uranus.

Geminids(Hutagoza Ryuseigun)

I went to Norosan(Mt.Noro) to observe Geminids(Hutagoza Ryuseigun) with members of TENMONKEN. I heard that it was very cold in Norosan from my seniors, so I wore many clothes. I wore a Heattech, a turtleneck sweater, a hooded sweatshirt, a big sweater, tights, a pair of jeans, warm trousers and five socks.

I went to Norozan by my senior's car. We had a fun time in the car! When the car turned right, we said "R" and when the car turned left, we said "L" for the girl who got motion sickness easily. In the mountain's road, there are many ramps, so we said "D" when the car went across ramps.

Then, we reached the place we observed Geminids. It was very cold, but we lay down to observe Geminids. I shared a blanket with two persons. My toes were numb with cold while I wore tights and five socks.

I watched many meteors. I could recited my wishes two times. I recited "money" when I watched the meteor which crossed greatly the sky. I could said three times accurately!  When I recited  "height(se)" ,  a meteor crossed the sky timely. So I could recited fortunately.

After we observed Geminids, we cooked Lamian(Ra-men). We struggled to cook it because it was very cold. it took a long time to boil water. We brought own Ra-men and cooked together. It was delicious. But after we ate almost Ra-men, my seniors  injected jam and the mix of carbonara. I heard that it was delicious. After that, other senior injected Anmitsu and fruits. I heard that it was very bad-tasting!!!!!

We enjoyed Geminids and Ra-men. We will go to observe Geminids in the next year, too. I'm looking forward to going!

Hammer Festival

I'm sorry for that I didn't write articles. I was busy. Yesterday, I came back to Aichi for winter vacation. Now, I have time so I'll write articles.


We had "the Hammer Festival" in 6, December. It is a festival of our department, earth planetary science. We had softball games, a dinner party and a drinking party. I was going to go all of them, but I felt sick so I didn't go to softball games. I heard the team of our class lost the first game. I like playing softball but I'm not good at playing so I would not be a help...

I went to the dinner party. I thought I could eat dinner with teachers and seniors, but I ate with 26. But it was fun. We watched a two-man comedy act. I think it was fun.

At first, I was going to go to Nabekai with the member of TENMONKEN, but I didn't go it because I went to Hammer Festival. I regretted a little because of not going to Nabekai. But I enjoyed the drinking party! I talked with seniors and I had a nice time! Seniors told me various things. I'm glad to go to the drinking party!

I have no pictures of Hammer Festival so I can't upload any photos in this time. Tomorrow, I will write articles about Geminids(Hutagoza Ryuseigun), Miyajima and so on. I'll also write articles about planets in winter vacation.
