Pluto

 Hi. I think many people know "Pluto". But what things do you know about Pluto? Today, I'll introduce "Pluto"!

 I think you know that Pluto was one of the planet. Do you know what does Pluto become? Pluto is now one of a dwarf planet! Dwarf planet is one of the classification in the solar system. The definition of dwarf planets are as follows:

  1. Revolving abut the sun.
  2. Having spherical shape
  3. Being not large enough to gravitationally clear its orbital region of most or all other celestial bodies.


 Pluto is revolving about sun and having spherical shape, but not large enough to gravitationally its orbital region of most or all other bodies so Pluto isn't a planet but a dwarf planet.

 The member of dwarf planets are as follows: Pluto, Eris, Ceres, Haumea, Makemake.


 Pluto isn't the largest body in dwarf planets. Largest body is Eris. Pluto, Eris, Haumea, Makemake are in the Kuiper Belt. Pluto is composed rocks and ices. Many bodies in the Kuiper Belt are composed rocks and ices.

 Pluto has five moons. They are Charon, Nix, Hydra, Kerberos, Styx. Names of these moons are derived from character's name in Hel.



I like Pluto and Charon. But I like other bodies in the solar system, too! I want to write more entries about the solar system.
